What are your services like?
In a word: Real. Expect upbeat music like you might hear on the radio and lessons that are presented by a guy in jeans. It’s real. And we’re real serious about God and His word. But we have a good time in the process. There’s always food at New Hope. And food and drinks are always welcomed in the services. Our children’s ministry is called Promiseland and is amazing. Promiseland is for ages infant – 4th grade. It meets during every main service, so parents can know their child is having fun and being taught the Bible while they are enjoying the service with the adults. The Krush is our ministry to 5-12th graders.

Is New Hope Charismatic?
We do not have the public display of “the gifts” in our services, such as unknown tongues, personal prophecies (words of knowledge), or fainting, all considered common in a charismatic church. A person who is charismatic is welcome to attend New Hope, but New Hope is not a “charismatic” church.

Is New Hope part of a denomination?
New Hope is a non-denominational, independent, Christian church. We are “autonomous” (self ruling) having no outside governing board or national headquarters. We use no creeds or trappings from any denomination. Our only rule of faith and practice is the Bible, which we believe to be God’s inspired Word and which we use as the basis for each lesson we present.

Does New Hope baptize infants?
No. The Bible teaches that a person needs to make their own decision regarding salvation. An infant is not old enough to make that decision. Therefore, we don’t baptize people until they reach an age where they understand what it is they are doing. We do have baby dedications twice a year (on Mother’s Day and again in November). In this service a parent will dedicate their child and their parenting of that child to God.

How is New Hope governed?
New Hope operates under the Team Ministry System, and is led by a team of four individuals who have the gift of leadership. In most churches these individuals might be referred to as Elders or Deacons. We call them The Leadership Team. Their duty is to keep New Hope on line and moving forward in accordance with her mission, vision, and purposes. They seek God’s direction daily in leading this church the way He desires.

How do I become a part of New Hope Church?
Our Membership Class is offered several times each year. At the class you’ll learn about the vision of New Hope.  If a person desires to join the church after the class, they may do so by signing a “Membership Covenant.”
