Weddings At New Hope Church
Weddings are incredibly special, and we are honored that you are
thinking of making us a part of yours. Below you will find useful
information to help your Wedding planning process flow more
smoothly, including…

If you are interested in having a Wedding at New Hope, please
carefully read the following material first. If you still have

Section 1: New Hope Church Wedding Policies
1. Only Members and Regular Attenders of New Hope Church can use the
building/grounds at New Hope Church for Weddings.
2. New Hope Church encourages all couples to complete a pre-marital
counseling course prior to their Wedding date. A pre-marital
counseling course on DVD is available through New Hope Church at no
charge. (Please return course to the Church bookstore after
completion.)
3. All Weddings held on New Hope Church property are at the 288
Campus only. (Other New Hope Church campuses use the 288 Campus for
Weddings.)
4. No matter which campus a New Hope Regular Attender or Member
attends, all Wedding applications will be processed on a
“first-come, first-served” basis.
5. Since there are Saturday Night worship services at the 288
Campus, the open times for Weddings are as follows: Fridays (late
afternoon and evening) and Saturdays before 1:00 p.m. Gold, Silver,
and Sunset Weddings can be done at other times, depending on the
availability of the Officiating Pastor.)
6. The Wedding Application may be submitted up to 12 months in
advance. The earlier you submit your request the better your chances
of obtaining your desired date and time.
7. When the Church receives your deposit, your date will be entered
onto Church calendar. It is advisable that you do not make
commitments to caterers, florist, and airlines etc. until your date
and time is verified by the Church Office and you have turned in
your Deposit Check.
8. Your request for a particular Pastor to officiate will be taken
into consideration. However, we cannot guarantee that the Pastor you
have requested will officiate your ceremony.
9. One hour will be allotted for Wedding rehearsals to allow for the
scheduling of the Church facilities and personnel. Have your Wedding
party arrive promptly at the scheduled time in order to have
adequate rehearsal time.
10. The Church building is not available for rehearsal dinners.
11. For Diamond Weddings: Decorations for the Wedding may be set up
before/during the rehearsal as long as it does not affect the
rehearsal. (Some early decorating is possible, but arrangements must
be made through the Church Office.) Decorations may be set up 2
hours prior to the Wedding ceremony. (The building will be opened 2
hours prior to the scheduled start time of a Diamond Wedding.)
12. All members of the immediate Wedding party, bridesmaids,
groomsmen, ushers, flower girl, ring bearer etc. should attend the
rehearsal, if possible.
13. Please have florist or pre-determined Wedding guests begin take
down the decoration in the auditorium immediately after the Wedding.
The building must be restored to original condition before departure
from the building.
14. For Diamond Weddings: Building will remain open for 1 hour and
30 minutes after scheduled start time of Wedding for those having
off-campus Receptions. Building will remain open for 3 hours after
scheduled start time of Wedding For Weddings with Reception in the
Church Café area.
15. You should see that the appropriate individuals who will be
participating in your Wedding: florist, photographer’s etc.
understand our Church’s policies where they may be affected.
16. New Hope Church cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen
property.
17. We have no means for storing Wedding decorations for later
pick-up.
18. Smoking is not allowed within the Church and use of alcoholic
beverages is prohibited on the Church property.
19. Use of rice or bird seed is prohibited.
Section 2: Types of Weddings and List of Charges
Gold Wedding = Office Wedding. (10 people or less,
no decorations, no music.) Cost: $200 total. Subject to availability
of Officiating Pastor. Usually held in the conference room. Damage
Deposit is waived.
Silver Wedding = Off-Site Wedding. (Ceremony held
off site and officiated by a New Hope Pastor.) Cost: $300 total.
Subject to availability of Officiating Pastor. Travel expenses may
be required. Damage Deposit is waived.
Sunset Wedding = Wedding on Prayer Mountain. (No
rehearsal. No reception.) Cost: $300 total plus $100 Damage
Deposit.* NOTE: Prayer Mountain access subject to weather conditions
prior to and on the day of the Wedding! Damage Deposit required.
Wedding may be held outside building in common area, or in lobby, if
weather does not permit use of Prayer Mountain. (Because of the
ground conditions at the top of Prayer Mountain, no seating will be
provided by the Church.)
Platinum Wedding = Small Wedding. (10-50 attendees.
No Rehearsal. No reception. Few, if any, decorations.) Cost: $500
plus $100 Damage Deposit.* Includes: Officiating Pastor, Sound
Technician, Ceremony. Building is open 30 minutes prior to schedule
Wedding start time, and closed one hour after scheduled start time.
Diamond Wedding = Medium to Large-sized Wedding.
(50+ attendees. Full Rehearsal.) Cost: $750 plus $100 Damage
Deposit.* Includes: Officiating Pastor, Wedding Assistant, Sound
Technician, Rehearsal, Ceremony, Reception in the Church Café area,
and Bride Room. Building is opened 2 hours prior to scheduled
Wedding start time. Decorations can be set up earlier in the week,
depending on Church auditorium availability. Building will remain
open for 1 hour and 30 minutes after scheduled start time of Wedding
for those having off campus Receptions. (If Reception is held off
Church property subtract: $150.) For Weddings with Receptions in the
Church Café area, building will remain open for 3 hours after
scheduled start time of Wedding.
Payment: All checks should be made out to New Hope
Church with “Wedding” in the memo. (A separate check should be made
out for the Damage Deposit and turned as soon as possible after
Wedding Date is confirmed by Church Office.)
*Damage Deposit is refundable and is required prior
to booking any Wedding on the Church calendar. The Damage Deposit is
not refundable for the following reasons: a) The Bride and Groom
request a different date within 30 days of the date that was
requested and held; b) The Bride and Groom cancel the wedding within
30 days of the date that was requested and held; c) The Wedding
party does not leave the building on time; d) Equipment & rental
items are not removed the day of the Wedding; e) The building is
damaged; f) The Church building is not left clean; g) Alcohol is
brought onto the Church premises; h) Mud is tracked into the
building from a Sunset Wedding on Prayer Mountain.
Section 3: Electronic Wedding Application/Policy Agreement

your date is confirmed you will need to send your Damage Deposit to
hold the date.
