Section 1: New Hope Church Wedding Policies

1. Only Members and Regular Attenders of New Hope Church can use the building/grounds at New Hope Church for Weddings.

2. New Hope Church encourages all couples to complete a pre-marital counseling course prior to their Wedding date.  A pre-marital counseling course on DVD is available through New Hope Church at no charge. (Please return course to the Church bookstore after completion.)

3. All Weddings held on New Hope Church property are at the 288 Campus only. (Other New Hope Church campuses use the 288 Campus for Weddings.)

4. No matter which campus a New Hope Regular Attender or Member attends, all Wedding applications will be processed on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

5. Since there are Saturday Night worship services at the 288 Campus, the open times for Weddings are as follows: Fridays (late afternoon and evening) and Saturdays before 1:00 p.m. Gold, Silver, and Sunset Weddings can be done at other times, depending on the availability of the Officiating Pastor.)

6. The Wedding Application may be submitted up to 12 months in advance. The earlier you submit your request the better your chances of obtaining your desired date and time.

7. When the Church receives your deposit, your date will be entered onto Church calendar. It is advisable that you do not make commitments to caterers, florist, and airlines etc. until your date and time is verified by the Church Office and you have turned in your Deposit Check.

8. Your request for a particular Pastor to officiate will be taken into consideration. However, we cannot guarantee that the Pastor you have requested will officiate your ceremony.

9. One hour will be allotted for Wedding rehearsals to allow for the scheduling of the Church facilities and personnel. Have your Wedding party arrive promptly at the scheduled time in order to have adequate rehearsal time.

10. The Church building is not available for rehearsal dinners.

11. For Diamond Weddings: Decorations for the Wedding may be set up before/during the rehearsal as long as it does not affect the rehearsal. (Some early decorating is possible, but arrangements must be made through the Church Office.) Decorations may be set up 2 hours prior to the Wedding ceremony. (The building will be opened 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of a Diamond Wedding.)

12. All members of the immediate Wedding party, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, flower girl, ring bearer etc. should attend the rehearsal, if possible.

13. Please have florist or pre-determined Wedding guests begin take down the decoration in the auditorium immediately after the Wedding. The building must be restored to original condition before departure from the building.

14. For Diamond Weddings: Building will remain open for 1 hour and 30 minutes after scheduled start time of Wedding for those having off-campus Receptions. Building will remain open for 3 hours after scheduled start time of Wedding For Weddings with Reception in the Church Café area.

15. You should see that the appropriate individuals who will be participating in your Wedding: florist, photographer’s etc. understand our Church’s policies where they may be affected.

16. New Hope Church cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen property.

17. We have no means for storing Wedding decorations for later pick-up.

18. Smoking is not allowed within the Church and use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the Church property.

19. Use of rice or bird seed is prohibited.
